why won't my boat plane
Man, that 60 horse should plane that thing off no problem. i do know on my yamaha, when you want to trim it down, it seems like it takes forever for it to trim all the way down past the tilt position. but if you don't do it, the boat won't plane off very fast either. i would just make sure it is trimmed down all the way to your stop.. I have no problem planing out when the boat is not loaded heavily, but when i reach the maximum load capicity it takes way to long to plane out. if i exceed the weight capacity, it won't plane out at all. the prop just spins out. would a new prop with a lower pitch help me out or am i just overlading the boat?. Re: why won't my boat plane out? sounds like a good thing the guy didn't use any nuts & washers or you could have tore up something real bad. i tried loading my boat on the trailer with the tm down once, that's all it took me to learn not to make that mistake again, only cost me a new tm..
