boat weight wet vs dry

Hey all. i am wondering what to expect the difference between wet and dry engine weights are. i have been working on a weight critical design, and i don't know what the real engine weight is vs the published (this case being a cummins qsb 5.9 230) the published dry weight is 1360, and that includes things like the alternator, starter etc. anybody know what i can expect the final weight to be?. You need to add in the wet weight, dry weight, fuel, gear, and other inclusions. here’s how you can determine the overall weight of your yacht, sailboat, pontoon boat, or other marine boat to get the right boat lift capacity: 1. the brochure or specification sheet included when you purchased your boat will state the dry weight of the boat.. Re: dry weight, hull weight, net weight- what's the real weight? no, no towing issue, lift limitation-4000lb. using nada, i know , if you enter ie: hurricane 232 the weight is the same for a 3.0 as a 8.1 .so, i'm guessing it doesn't include i/o weight.can't really use manufacturer specs on new models that don't match older models that may or may not even exist anymore.

boat weight wet vs dry Re: what is dry weight? dry weight is the weight without fuel, oil, gear oil, stuff, gear, etc. wet weight is full of fluids and stuff cheesehead boating the gulf coast of fla 27.51
